I am Sorry Mother Nature

 

You hailed fathomless love on me,
But I was not able to sense its meaning
You blessed me with brain having boundless volume,
But I could not understand its worth
I-am Sorry Dear Mother Nature,
Cause I harmed your offspring
In the thirst of satisfying my never-ending wants,
I abused you the most.
 
You provided trees for oxygen and foods,
But I destroyed them to gather woods,
You endowed me with intelligence to blossom
In reply, I always forged the environment of troublesome,
I-am Sorry Dear Mother Nature
I was not cautious while using your gifts,
You imparted endless assets to me
But I was not even matured to understand them.
 
You gifted me enough water resources to make me and other creature survive;
But feeling myself as a master of nature,
I started polluting them:
By directing drainages towards them,
By throwing hazardous waste in to them,
By massive deforestation caused their sources dry up,
I-am Sorry Mother Nature  I ruthlessly exploited them.
 
You gifted me fresh air to exhale in,
But I failed to realize it's worth for happy survival;
I began to pollute it for my profit,
By emitting perilous gasses,
Through devastating industries
Through innumerable vehicles;
I started having artificial air,
I-am Sorry Mother Nature, I have become a slave to machines.
 
You gave all your resources for free
But I was not capable to utilize them wisely;
For the greed of money and power,
I became selfish and crushed my limit;
I-am Sorry Dear Mother Nature,
I commoditized your gifts to damage the ecosystem;
In reply Swine flu, SARS, Ebola and now Corona came;
And entrapped me into a mysterious problem
Having no avenue to be free.
 
I bragged myself as an astute creature,
But a small microscopic organism has put me in danger;
My dear Mother Nature, you suffered from all my egoistic deeds;
So, today you are right to punish me as it was in need
